What's New for the 2027 Chevy Corvette?

Chevrolet is revving up the Corvette with the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport and a next-generation V8 engine that produces more torque than any naturally aspirated V8 before it. Corvette enthusiasts from the master-planned communities of Cypress and The Woodlands can unleash an eighth-generation Corvette from the Legendary Lone Star Chevrolet. Corvette Updates

  • Power Boost from the New LS6 - The new 2027 Corvette Stingray gets a power bump, thanks to the increased displacement of the new 6.7-liter LS6 V8 engine. The outgoing engine was a 6.2-liter powerplant. Now the primary V8 engine, the LS6 raises the bar for performance, thanks to architecture upgrades. The new LS6 engine produces 535 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. With 40 additional horsepower and 50 additional pound-feet of torque, the Corvette can accelerate faster as you pass cars on the Eastex Freeway through Humble. The Corvette LS6 engine also features a new lubrication system.
  • Unleash the Corvette Grand Sport X - The E-Ray is replaced with the Grand Sport X. The Grand Sport X returns as a new hybrid variant. The Grand Sport X takes electric motors from the ZR1 X and the widebody shape of the Z06. Corvette Grand Sport X models generate 721 combined horsepower by combining a 186-horsepower electric motor with the new LS6 V8 engine.
  • Center Exit Exhaust Debuts - An optional center exit exhaust becomes available for the first time on the C8 Corvette.
  • Z52 Track Performance Package - Get carbon-ceramic brakes, an updated suspension, carbon-fiber splitter, wing, and other aerodynamic modifications with this performance package geared for Houston tracks.

Performance

Powered by the 6.7-liter LS6 V8 engine, the Corvette Stingray is a performance socialite that now produces 535 max horsepower and covers a quarter mile in 11 seconds. The Grand Sport is a true driver's Corvette that makes its triumphant return. The Corvette Grand Sport delivers 535 horsepower, while the Grand Sport X generates 721 combined horsepower.

The track-born Corvette Z06 unleashes 670 max horsepower through an LT6 5.5-liter V8 engine that harnesses racing technologies. The Corvette ZR1 is a performance marvel delivering 1,064 horsepower through a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine. Magnetic Selective Ride Control™ 4.0 delivers next-generation damping to the Corvette. Activate your favorite Corvette drive mode, with Track Mode, Z Mode, Sport Mode, Weather Mode, Tour Mode, and MyMode available.

Technology

The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray offers functional and intuitive technology, headlined by Google built-in compatibility. H-Town Corvette owners get access to Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant. There are three driver display screens within the Corvette. An expanded 14-inch diagonal Driver Information Center can relay performance stats. The 6.6-inch diagonal touchscreen is an auxiliary display. The larger 12.7-inch diagonal center console display rounds out the state-of-the-art command center in the new Corvette. Wireless phone projection is standard. You'll find a new wireless charging pad centrally located in the center console of the Corvette. As you drive up I-45 from Spring and Conroe, the Corvette gives you speed tips and data analysis through the Enhanced Performance Data Recorder. You can visualize real-time 3D graphics that depict the Corvette in dynamic states of drift.

Safety

Performance Traction Management adjusts the traction control, stability control, and power delivery of the Corvette through a range of driver-selectable modes. As you back out of your Cypress master-planned community with your Corvette, you can get a clear view from the standard HD Rear Vision Camera and Rear Camera Mirror. Traffic along the Southwest Freeway through Sugar Land can get crowded. Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a Head-Up Display keep you safe in traffic congestion.
