25 Chevrolet Camaro convertibles paraded from Galveston, Texas to the Lone Star Flight Museum in Kemah, Texas with a police escort the weekend of May 7, 2011. Houston was selected to host this special Drive-Away Event to celebrate the arrival of the Camaro Convertible, since its faithful fans have had a long-time love affair with the Camaro and it is one of the largest markets in the nation.

It was quite an event when
THE ALL NEW 2010 CHEVROLET CAMARO HIT THE STREETS OF HOUSTON!

On a gorgeous early afternoon May 7, 2010, the Camaro Caravan (with police escort) left the Sam Houston Race Park. Nearly 50 bright yellow, silver, red and black Chevrolet Camaros made their way from Sam Houston Race Park to downtown Houston, Texas. Lone Star Chevrolet even had the event live on a popular blog site. Mark Kolon (Sales Manager) drove the all-new muscle car. Mark said it was a visual knock out and he loved the precision handling. The Camaro Caravan garnered a tremendous amount of attention as it passed through the streets of Houston. Soon the Camaro Caravan drove through downtown and past the George Brown Convention Center. The final destination was at Minute Maid Park for the Houston Astros vs. Chicago Cubs game. Camaro Club members greeted customers along with the Lone Star Chevy Team.
