    Hello, my name is Sid Templeton and I'm from Houston Texas.

    My background has been in Music* and Oil & Gas Exploration** and I am now working in Internet Sales at Lone Star Chevrolet.

    I am married with a wonderful daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. I enjoy motorcycle trips throughout Texas and my wife and I like renting motorcycles when we visit other states. My hobbies are fishing, golf and playing the guitar although time has reduced my skill level.

    My goal is to change how most people feel about the process of buying a car. I never liked it so why would I expect others to. By listening, understanding and caring about each customer's needs I aim to make the process professional, without pressure and just put fun back into buying.     *Music: On January 19, 2008 I was honored by the Museum of the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame for my music while playing in "The Clique". It was a great time because I hadn't seen many of my old friends for nearly forty years.

    **Oil and Gas Exploration: My time was spent in Cairo, Bombay, Gabon, Tunis, Luanda Angola and even managed to get in a couple years in The Gulf of Mexico.

    I am a native Houstonian and began my career in the Automotive Industry 6 years ago.  As a new person on the job, I quickly discovered that the greatest job I can do for my customers is to learn my product, listen and then match their needs to the right vehicle. 

     

    I always love to see the excitement on their faces when they find the perfect vehicle.   I try to make shopping a fun event for everyone.  As a family man and father of three girls, I also realized that the fun can sometimes be targeted at me.  For example, I was doing a product demonstration one day and was showing the features of the trunk.  I finished by showing the green hanging tag that glowed in the dark.  I explained that it was a safe method of getting out of a locked trunk.  All you do is pull the green tag and the trunk will open.  To my surprise, the customer said, "ok you get in and try it". I had a few thoughts of saying no, but eventually did.  I learned that the customer and some of my fellow salespeople had played the trick on me. 

     

    I have helped hundred of customers since then, but I still believe in making shopping fun for the whole family. My mantra is "If it can be done, I can do it".  I put forth that type of effort every day to please my customers.
